The Mad Rose Group

Founded in 1977 in New York City by Neal Rosenthal, the Mad Rose Group is above all a specialist in the importation into the US of European wines of exceptional quality produced in limited quantities by artisanal family domaines in France, Italy, Switzerland and Catalonia. These wines are chosen as the finest expressions of their respective terroirs and represent the very personal voices and talents of the men and women who produce them.

Over the decades, Neal Rosenthal has built formidable relationships with many artisans and vignerons, innkeepers and chefs, all of whose work can be shared and appreciated through the Mad Rose Group.

Today, the Mad Rose Group continues its search for the finest in wine (Rosenthal Wine Merchant), food (Mad Rose Specialty Foods) and travel experiences (Mad Rose Journeys) and now draws within its family the unique and compelling hotel, La Closerie les Capucines, a gem of Arbois in the heart of the French Jura.

Importantly, the enterprises of the Mad Rose Group work together to connect people to place.

Booking's Terms & Conditions

Article 1 - Purpose

This contract is intended for the exclusive use of booking stays in guest rooms. The best welcome will be reserved for our guests.

Article 2 - Duration of stay

The customer signing this contract concluded for a fixed period may not under any circumstances take advantage of any right to remain in the premises.

Article 3 - Reservation

The reservation becomes effective once the customer has sent the establishment his credit card number as a guarantee. These data are not kept after your stay.

Article 4 - Cancellation by the customer

Any cancellation must be notified by email or telephone to the owner.
- Cancellation free of charge up to 72 hours before the client's arrival (in view of the current health situation, free cancellations can be made up to 24 hours before the client's arrival and until the end of year 2020).
- Excluding cancellation period, that is to say after 72 hours before the customer's arrival, 50% of the total amount of the stay will be charged.

Article 5 - Cancellation by the owner

When, before the start of the stay, the owner cancels it, he must inform the customer by email and / or phone.

Article 6 - Arrival

The customer must arrive on the specified day between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. In the event of late or delayed arrival, the customer must contact the establishment.

Article 7 - Breakfasts

Breakfasts are served between 8:30 am and 10:00 am. A margin of 30 minutes before or after this time slot is accepted, at the customer's request.

Article 8 - Payment of the balance

The full amount of the stay is to be paid on the day of the customer's departure (as well as any additional consumption / purchase)..

Article 9 - Tourist tax

The tourist tax is a local tax which the customer must pay to the owner who then transfers it to the public treasury. It is 0.77 € per person and per night.

Article 10 - Use of the premises

The customer must respect the peaceful character of the place and make use of it in accordance with their destination. He undertakes to return the rooms in good condition and must declare any damage for which he could be responsible and assume the repair. The whole house is a non-smoking area.

Article 11 – Children

All children are welcome. A child under 3 stays free of charge. A cot for toddlers is available on request.

Article 12 - Animals

Animals are welcome in the house. The customer must specify their presence, when booking their stay, with the owner.

Article 13 – Parking

We do not have a private car park, parking is in the street, right in front of the establishment or in a large free public car park, further up the street, 1 minute walk from the house.
